While extending an invitation to more Indians to visit Bhutan, H.E. Dasho Tshering Tobgay, the Honourable Prime Minister of Bhutan, stated that relations between India and Bhutan are excellent. “India is our immediate neighbour, and we would be honoured to have you stay with us. Enhancing visitor’s pleasure and well-being throughout their trip is the main goal of Bhutan’s tourism policy,” he continued.
The Prime Minister of Bhutan addressed the FICCI-organised exclusive interaction, “India-Bhutan Tourism: Expanding Horizons,” and said that Bhutan has adopted “Gross National Happiness” to increase the happiness and well-being of its citizens by striking a balance between economic growth, social and cultural advancement, and good governance. “We must advance socially, and since education has helped us there, we can care for tourists well.” He emphasised, “We are custodians of a unique culture that we can share with the world.”
