Nestled amidst Sikkim’s snow-capped peaks in the Mangan district, Sanglaphu Lake is perched at an impressive elevation of 5080 metres (16,667 feet). This high-altitude lake holds immense religious significance for the local people.

Often visited by locals for offering prayers and seeking blessings, Sanglaphu Lake’s inaugural event witnessed a prayer ceremony by the monks of Samten Choling Monastery in Lachung. Members of the revered Lachung Dzomsa, an administrative institution in North Sikkim’s Lachen and Lachung villages, and representatives from the hotel association and cab drivers’ unions also participated.
