South Korea’s Thai visitors decreased by 21% in the first four months of 2024 due to strict immigration rules, and the decline’s momentum is expected through at least year-end.
Thai tourists are switching to other destinations to avoid being rejected by immigration authorities in South Korea, said Charoen Wangananont, president of the Thai Travel Agents Association, as quoted by Bangkok Post.
