South Korea has raised its travel advisory for Israel and Lebanon due to the escalating conflict between Israel and the Palestinian militant group Hamas. The travel advisory for all regions in Lebanon has been raised to Level 3, which strongly advises South Koreans to leave the country immediately. This decision was made in response to security risks caused by the increasing tensions between Israel and the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah. The advisory for Israel has also been raised to Level 3, with the exception of the Gaza Strip. South Koreans planning to travel to these countries are urged to consider canceling or postponing their trips. Gaza has a Level 4 travel alert, which is the highest in the four-tier system. Traveling to countries under a Level 4 alert can result in punishment under related laws. The South Korean foreign ministry will continue to monitor the situation and make further adjustments to the travel advisory if necessary.
