Seoul, South Korea, has launched a new initiative aimed at positioning itself as a leading global destination for beauty and wellness tourism. The Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Seoul Tourism Organization (STO) introduced “Seoul Beauty & Wellness Month,” running from October 1 to 31. This program is designed to provide foreign visitors with a curated guide and promotional benefits to explore the city’s diverse offerings in beauty and well-being.
The initiative’s primary goal is to establish Seoul as a comprehensive hub where visitors can experience unique and high-quality beauty and wellness services. The curated guide highlights various aspects, including K-beauty trends, medical aesthetics, spa and massage treatments, yoga and meditation, hiking routes, traditional tea ceremonies, and authentic traditional Korean medicine experiences.
Key areas across Seoul, such as Gangnam, Hongdae, Seongsu, and Myeongdong, are featured in the guide, offering specialized experiences like Korean-style head spas and personalized makeup consultations. To enhance the visitor experience, special discounts are available through the “Seoul Pass.” These promotions include up to 60% off on a range of beauty and wellness experiences and up to 30% off on beauty product shopping. Kim Eui-seung, head of the Global City Policy Bureau, emphasized Seoul’s capacity to offer “unparalleled beauty and wellness experiences” through this initiative.
