Seoul Tourism Launches Namsan Eco Hiking Festa

Jeju Province has officially selected and announced 12 "Wellness Travel Destinations" to promote the island as a premier location for healing and nature-focused tourism. The initiative, led by the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province and the Jeju Tourism Organization (JTO), aims to meet the growing global interest in wellness travel and help revitalize the local economy.

The 12 locations were chosen through a public contest and a subsequent expert evaluation process. They are organized into three distinct thematic categories to cater to different visitor preferences.

Discover Jeju’s Premier Wellness Spots

The newly designated wellness destinations are grouped as follows:

• Nature & Forest: This category includes Seogwipo Healing Forest, Hwansang Forest Gotjawal Park, Meochewat Forest Trail, and Cheongsu Gotjawal Firefly Eco Park. These locations emphasize immersive experiences in Jeju’s unique natural environments.
• Healing & Meditation: For those seeking mental and spiritual rejuvenation, the selected spots are Jeju 901, We Hotel Wellness Center, Chuidasun Resort, and the Jeju Healing Meditation Center.
• Beauty & Spa: This category focuses on physical well-being and relaxation, featuring The WE, Hanwha Resort Jeju Therapy Center, POLA Resort, and Gossine G窟.

Promotional ‘Recharge Week’ Event

To celebrate and promote these new destinations, the Jeju Tourism Organization is hosting a "Recharge Week" event from November 4th to November 30th. During this period, visitors to the 12 selected wellness locations can receive discounts of up to 50% on various programs and services.

In addition, a social media "Proof Shot" event will run concurrently. To participate, visitors can take photos at the wellness destinations and upload them to their social media accounts with the required hashtags. A total of 30 participants will be selected to receive prizes, which include accommodation vouchers for two people and experience vouchers for 28 people.

An official from the Jeju Tourism Organization stated that the organization will continue to discover and promote high-quality wellness tourism content to establish Jeju as a leading wellness travel destination.
