May Myat Mon Win is a 25-year veteran of the hospitality and tourism industry, with a background in hospitality management and destination marketing and management. She currently serves as General Manager of the Chatrium Hotel Royal Lake Yangon, a luxurious 5-star hotel in Yangon owned and operated by Thailand-based group Chatrium Hospitality. May is also deeply committed to promoting sustainable tourism development in Myanmar, serving as a member of the Myanmar Tourism Executive Committee, as well as Chairperson of the Myanmar Tourism Marketing Association and Vice Chairman of the Myanmar Tourism Federation. She has also been involved in developing Myanmar’s tourism branding, launching campaigns and participating in international travel exhibitions. Additionally, May is a visiting lecturer, co-founder of the Professional Marketers Association, and a Charter Member of the Rotary Club of Central Yangon. She is a lifelong learner, having earned a BA in English Language and Literature from Yangon University, an MBA from the University of Economics, and completed the General Manager Program at Cornell University School of Hotel Administration. May is passionate about philanthropy and charity, particularly initiatives focused on long-term sustainable benefits for communities and young generations, and loves to travel and indulge in good food and coffee.
