BHPian abhikb shared an event report of the Border Quest, which saw good turnout of 34 cars, mostly new Thar owners. Participants got the opportunity to explore untouched and unexplored places, including Nadabet, Munabao, Longewala, and Tanot. The event had a 4-day itinerary and route plan, starting with reporting at Tharad on day 0, flag-off at Nadabet on day 1, Munabao-Sam on day 2, dune bashing and gala dinner on day 3, and essentials carried such as tyre inflator, puncture kit, First aid kit, and more. The event organizers held a briefing session on January 22, 2023, to explain the route map, preparation, and more, which was streamed on Instagram. The convoy was flagged off from Ahmedabad and participants had to report at Tharad before driving to Nadabet via Mavsari, Sata, Dhanau. They had lunch at Serva on Bharat mala road and reached Munaboa around 6 pm. BSF arranged for tea and refreshments, and participants were allowed to go up to Zero Point. On day 2, the final leg of the journey between Munabao-Sam was around 170 kms and took 3 hours on Bharatmala road and a narrow stretch of road through the dunes. They started from Munabao around 7 pm, and reached the resort around 10 pm. During the registration session, the organizers communicated that the first day’s drive would be 13-14 hours, and distributed food packets at Munaboa to keep people charged for the last leg of the journey.
