Farhan Ali Agha, a former model, who became a leading romantic actor in Pakistani television and cinema some thirty years ago, has transitioned to playing patriarchal roles. He has become a master of playing different versions of an on-screen father, his good looks and attractive features now underpinned by worry, as he tries to make his offspring see sense against the backdrop of Pakistani drama storylines. Agha divides his time between five different dramas at present, such are the demands within the industry. Although he enjoys the array of characters he gets to play, Agha does not like to change his appearance or travel too much, as this can impact on his availability for future roles. Despite not reading his scripts for years, he likes to research his characters, especially the best way to deliver comic lines. He feels that acting in television now pays more than when he first started out, and is happy to play any role, so he can remain visible and in-demand as an actor.
