China and several other countries are taking measures to revive their economies following the Covid pandemic. Beijing is expecting a revival of the country’s tourism to boost growth prospects in the economy. In another step to boost tourism between the two countries, a private bus service in Pakistan has decided to run its buses between the federal capital Islamabad and Tashkurgan, a Chinese town in the far northwest region. The bus service is expected to start in mid-May this year, allowing Pakistanis to visit China without paying a hefty amount for air tickets. Passengers need to carry valid passports and copies, a valid original visa and invitation to China to enter by road. The service is expected to expand after the first phase.
