The High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Pakistan, Vice Admiral Mohan Wijewickrama, has recommended the establishment of a working group to promote cooperation in the areas of trade, tourism, economics, politics and defence between the two countries. Wijewickrama noted that Pakistan, particularly the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, had numerous opportunities to promote religious tourism. SCCI President Mohammad Ishaq identified the need for joint efforts to increase trade between the two countries as eminent. The event was attended by representatives from the travel and tourist sector, as well as traders and industrialists.
