Valor Hospitality’s Chief Operating Officer, Tapan Piplani, has said that Oman’s tourism industry is well placed to attract visitors with a range of large-scale hospitality and tourism projects underway across Oman. Piplani said that a marine-biology experiential center in the Sea of Oman, focusing on growing coral reefs, would boost marine tourism, while adventure sports could be offered in Jabal Akhdar and nearby mountain ranges. He also said that the availability of a skilled local workforce was a significant advantage for Oman’s tourism sector. Piplani discussed Valor Hospitality’s first hotel in Oman, the Four Points by Sheraton, Muscat, which is due to open in Q4 of 2024. He explained how Valor Hospitality’s approach offered flexibility to asset owners, as well as a range of operating efficiencies across multiple brands. Piplani also outlined the benefits of global public-private partnerships and diversification in hotel concepts and training academies.
