NAPLES – An outdoor cinema in the desert, a survival trail among the dunes, the experience of admiring a sky full of stars from the ancient area of the Saudi city of AlUla. These are among the proposals that are part of a new touristic experience launched by Saudi Arabia for the month of March, with vacations aboard caravans transformed into tourist rooms so visitors can enjoy spending day and night in the country’s desert area. The caravan glamping site, according to the online edition of the newspaper The National, is opening in the area of the ancient Nabatean settlements and looks at US tourist attractions, with a site in Nevada offering a similar hotel in the desert.
