SINGAPORE. Singapore Changi Airport has been honoured with a Tourists Choice Award by Influential Brands, a think-tank, research and business recognition platform which champions excellence.
The award is based on a Q4 2023 survey of 500 tourists’ preferred destinations within Singapore and was one of several announced at the Influential brands CEO Summit in Singapore earlier this month.
The Singapore hub was described as offering an “unparalleled airport experience”, with the city’s Gardens by the Bay acclaimed as a quintessential tourist attraction and the Marina Bay Sands complex as a premier shopping destination.
Influential Brands noted the “top experience provided by Changi Airport” and how each award winner contributed to the “rich tapestry of experiences that define Singapore’s allure to travellers worldwide”.
“Renowned for its exceptional passenger experience and commitment to innovation, Singapore Changi Airport had once again set the bar high in the duty-free and travel retail space,” Influential Brands noted.
“With its world-class facilities and unparalleled shopping options, Changi Airport remained a destination in itself for travellers worldwide. Recent expansions and strategic partnerships had further solidified its position as a leader in the industry, offering travellers a seamless shopping experience and a taste of Singaporean hospitality.”
Sponsors of the Influential Brands CEO Summit included Pernod Ricard and Hong Kong-based Chow Tai Fook, underscoring their roles in the duty-free and travel retail sector.
Pernod Ricard’s featured wines & spirits, which included Absolut Vodka, Chivas Regal, Martell and Royal Salute, showcased the company’s commitment to craftsmanship and “added a touch of refinement to the gala awards event”.
Chow Tai Fook, which is also known for its craftsmanship and its extensive jewellery collections, presented an intricate pendant at the event. ✈
