SINGAPORE, 12 August 2025 – The Tour de France Singapore Criterium returns for its fourth edition on 1 and 2 November 2025, bringing the speed, strategy, and spectacle of elite cycling back to the streets of Marina Bay.

Leading this year’s line-up is Jasper Philipsen, to reclaim the Tour de France Singapore Criterium title he won in 2023, after being edged out last year by the legendary Mark Cavendish in his unforgettable farewell race. The Belgian sprint specialist captured the green jersey in the 2023 Tour de France, and made headlines again this year by winning the opening stage of the 2025 Tour and donning the coveted yellow jersey. His appearance in Singapore offers fans across Southeast Asia and beyond a rare chance to see one of the sport’s most electrifying riders in action.

The Tour de France Singapore Criterium enters its fourth year with renewed backing from the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO), reaffirming its long-term place on the regional sporting calendar. The refreshed multi-year partnership builds on the momentum of the past three editions and reflects strong confidence in Singapore’s thriving sport scene. The 2025 edition will also introduce new ways for the public to get involved with the Tour de France Singapore Criterium: À l’Attaque, offering Singaporean cyclists the rare chance to ride on the same roads as the pros. 7

Mr Christian Prudhomme, Director of the Tour de France, said: “Bringing the Tour de France Criterium to Singapore has allowed us to extend the spirit of the Tour to new audiences and new regions. Each edition here is proof of what’s possible when world-class racing meets an equally world-class city. From its skyline to its organisation, Singapore offers a spectacular setting for the athletes and an unforgettable experience for fans. We are proud to see the Criterium return in 2025 as part of a growing legacy in Asia.”

Ms Lilian Chee, Director, Sports, Singapore Tourism Board, said: “Singapore is breaking new ground as the first in the world to host Tour de France-branded events for both professionals and amateurs the Tour de France Singapore Criterium, and a new mass participation cycling competition, Tour de France Singapore Criterium: À l’Attaque. This milestone underscores global rights holders’ continued confidence in Singapore as an ideal testbed for new concepts and ideas, reinforcing our position as a leading international sporting destination. Set against our spectacular city skyline and supported by world-class infrastructure and proven event management capabilities, this enhanced programme offers participants and fans a memorable cycling experience. We look forward to welcoming riders and fans once again this year to experience Singapore’s diverse offerings.”

The 2025 Tour de France Singapore Criterium promises to be a high-octane celebration of sport and city, with a route designed to showcase the very best that Singapore has to offer. The circuit will take riders past some of the nation’s most recognisable landmarks, including the Padang, Anderson Bridge, and the Esplanade Theatres on the Bay, framing world-class sport within a uniquely Singaporean experience.

To make the event even more inclusive, general admission to the Padang and race precinct will be free for all spectators. For those seeking the ultimate vantage point, grandstand and hospitality packages will offer unrivalled views of the action from within the Singapore Recreation Club – the official venue partner for this year’s race. 13Set against one of Singapore’s most iconic backdrops, guests can look forward to an unforgettable race experience in premium comfort, while the free public entry underscores the event’s ambition to create a true national celebration of cycling, welcoming fans, families and newcomers alike.

Ms Agnes Goh, Managing Director, Evoke Exp, said: “The Tour de France Singapore Criterium has grown into one of the most exciting events on Asia’s cycling calendar. With free public access, new ride categories, and a refreshed festival experience at the Padang, our ambition is to make this more than a race. We want to turn it into an annual celebration of cycling for everyone, from lifelong fans to first-time visitors. Singapore’s position at the crossroads of the region gives us a unique opportunity to unite communities through sport, and we’re proud to build on that momentum.”

This year’s programme will also expand opportunities for public participation, making it easier than ever for fans to experience the thrill of the Tour de France Singapore Criterium firsthand. On 2 November, members of the public can take part in the Tour de France Singapore Criterium: À l’Attaque, comprising four distinct formats.

  • The first is a team time trial for road cyclists, where teams of two compete to cycle the furthest distance within the time limit of 40 minutes. 18This is open to both corporate teams and cycling clubs.
  • Solo rides will also be held for Masters (men aged 35 and above) and Women’s categories (aged 17 and above).
  • The fourth category is designed for the growing foldie community; a sprint on the closed-loop circuit. The race begins with a distinctive starting twist, where participants must locate and unfold their foldable bicycle before taking to the course where the winner will be determined by the rider who completes the furthest distance in 30 minutes.

Mr Yannick Talabardon, Race Director of Tour de France Singapore Criterium, said: “With the launch of this new mass participation format “Tour de France Singapore Criterium: À l’Attaque”, we’re happy to see that Tour de France Singapore Criterium is reinforced as an event that brings everyone together around the passion for cycling. It’s a real pleasure to see local riders take on the same circuit as the pros: that’s what cycling is all about.”

Homegrown bike-sharing firm Anywheel is bringing the spirit of the Tour de France Singapore Criterium 2025 to the community with two key initiatives. Throughout October, users can ride the Pro Criterium route at their own pace using the new Explore Routes feature in the Anywheel app. Completing this challenge earns them rewards like an Anywheel Bike Pass and an exclusive Tour de France goodie bag. Then, on 2 November, the Anywheel Community Cycle will offer the public a free and unique opportunity to cycle the iconic race course themselves on an Anywheel bicycle. These efforts aim to make one of the world’s most prestigious cycling events accessible to all, with more details to be announced soon.

Htay Aung, CEO of Anywheel, said: “We believe cycling should be for everyone, not just the professionals. That’s why Anywheel is proud to support the Tour de France Singapore Criterium for the second consecutive year. With over 2 million users in Singapore, we are thrilled to invite our community to join the Anywheel Community Cycle. It’s not every day you get to ride on closed roads through the heart of the CBD, surrounded by Singapore’s iconic cityscape, without a single car in sight. More than just a ride, it’s a chance to slow down and connect with the city and community around us. As a homegrown company, it’s especially meaningful for us to be part of such a landmark event taking place right here in Singapore, where Anywheel first began. This initiative is a step forward in encouraging a healthier and greener lifestyle, and making this world-class cycling experience accessible to everyone.”

Premium spectator tickets for the Finish Line (S$68) and PrestigeClub (S$168) will be available on Trip.com, with a limited-time ‘Buy 2, Get 1 Free’ promotion running until 31 August 2025. Tickets for the mass participation rides under the À l’Attaque series – starting from S$80 for the solo rides and S$170 for the team category – will be available on Raceroster.com. Both spectator and ride tickets will go on sale on 12 August 2025.
