An epoch ended on Boxing Day 2021, a Sunday, with the death of the beloved Archbishop Desmond Tutu at the age of 90.
The new era began a week later, on 2 January 2022, when alleged arsonist Zandile Christmas Mafe set fire to Parliament in the early hours of the morning.
