The team are fresh from securing a second successive Six Nations championship but attention is already turning to the summer business.
Farrell’s charges are pencilled in for a two-test spin with the reigning world champions in a rematch of their bruising World Cup encounter.
While Ireland will need to be at their best to beat the Boks away from home, the summer window also could provide opportunities to fringe players.
