With summer just around the corner and the days becoming longer, many Brits will be looking at a trip abroad in the upcoming months. Coronavirus may have taken a backseat in recent news but most countries still have some travel restrictions in place and can be difficult to enter. The updated travel restrictions come as airports are experiencing delays and are having to cancel flights as they deal with staff shortages post-pandemic.
Some airline, such as British Airways, have even asked passengers to check in their luggage the day before their flight. The airline has made the request to ease airport pressure. Holidaymakers flying from Gatwick and Heathrow Terminal 5 are being told to check their bags the day before and then return for their flight the next day.

USA
You will need to be able to demonstrate that you have been fully vaccinated against Covid before entering the country. US authorities will accept vaccines approved by the World Health Organisation, including AstraZeneca, Pfizer and Moderna.
An NHS Covid pass is acceptable as proof of vaccination status for visiting the USA. The final vaccine dose, however, must have been received at least 14 days before travelling. NHS appointment cards are not accepted as proof of vaccination status. Travellers who are fully vaccinated do not have to quarantine or self-isolate on their arrival in America. They are advised to take a Covid test within three to five days of their arrival.
