Pilibhit: The Pilibhit Tiger Reserve (PTR) bagged the TOFTigers Wildlife Tourism Award in a grand ceremony held at Bikaner House in New Delhi on Tuesday evening. Naveen Khnadelwal, PTR’s divisional forest officer, accepted the honour from TOFTigers’ Julian Matthews and Wildlife Conservation Trust’s Anish Andheria. Ritu Makhija of TOFTigers highlighted PTR’s excellence across 14 key areas, including ecotourism, tiger conservation, and community involvement. The award recognizes PTR’s efforts in habitat management, tourist facilities, and the rising visits to Chuka eco-tourism spot. This marks PTR’s third major accolade in three years, including the TX2 global award and the CA/TS award for effective tiger conservation standards.
