The Turkish State Railways (TCDD) has announced the commencement of the Ankara-Tatvan touristic train services, offering a unique travel experience starting from April 17, 2024.
This new route aims to provide travelers with an engaging way to explore the scenic beauty and cultural richness of Türkiye.
The inaugural journey is scheduled to depart from Ankara on April 17, embarking every Wednesday at 3:55 p.m.
During the journey, the train will make a significant four-hour stop in Elazig for sightseeing, allowing passengers to immerse themselves in the local culture and scenery.
The final destination will be Tatvan in the province of Bitlis, with the train arriving at 7:16 p.m.
As for the return journey from Tatvan to Ankara, it will begin on April 19 and will continue every Friday until June 14.
The train is set to leave Tatvan at 6:35 p.m., with leisurely stops in Palu for three hours, Elazığ for four hours, and Kayseri for three hours, before reaching Ankara at 5:11 p.m.
