Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister M Faruk Kahn on Tuesday sought investment from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in development of Bangladesh’s tourism infrastructures as well as building hotels and resorts.
“There are opportunities for the UAE to invest in development of tourism infrastructures and building hotels and resorts,” he said while UAE ambassador Abdullah Ali Al Hamoudi to Bangladesh called on him at the Secretariat in the capital, reports BSS.
The minister said, if the UAE would like to invest in the country’s tourism sector Dhaka is ready to provide all kinds of assistance in this regard.
In reply, the envoy said his country is keen to provide assistance to Bangladesh in the tourism industry along with increasing the existing cooperation in aviation sector between the UAE and Bangladesh.
