The Tourism Advisory Board (TAB) of Vietnam has proposed several solutions to overcome challenges faced by the country’s tourism industry. First, the TAB recommended opening more tourism promotion offices in key markets like Australia and North America to boost the tourism image of Vietnam. It also suggested opening a new promotion office in Japan and providing more support for the South Korean office. Secondly, the TAB urged maintaining and developing digital marketing platforms such as vietnam.travel and other social media platforms to promote Vietnam and update information for foreign visitors. The shortage of high-quality human resources and visa policy restrictions were also identified by the TAB as major challenges that need to be addressed. The TAB is led by Tran Trong Kien, Chairman and CEO of Thien Minh Group (TMG), one of the leading travel groups in Vietnam and Asia. TMG aims to build a good reputation for Vietnam in the eyes of the international tourism market.
