Since the COVID-19 pandemic is under control in Vietnam, the domestic tourism sector is seeing an explosion in demand. Most Vietnamese are choosing to holiday domestically and authorities and tourism businesses have taken the initiative in building a strategy to attract tourists. A number of large-scale cultural and tourism events have been held since the end of last year. Catering to over 100 million tourists last year, the domestic tourism sector has been a lifesaver for the industry, leading to strong growth in transportation, warehousing, food and beverages, and wholesale and retail, and is gradually returning to pre-pandemic levels.
