International arrivals to Vietnam by sea have risen over 2.8 times in March as compared to the previous month, with the country welcoming 33,700 passengers in the first quarter of this year. Vietnam’s tourism development strategy in 2020 aims to prioritise the development of sea and island tourism, given its favourable geographical position. The country boasts a coastline of 3,260km, over 4,000 islands and many well-known scenic spots, along with historical and cultural sites. Various cruise ships have brought thousands of international visitors to Vietnam in 2021, including the Spectrum of the Seas at Tan Cang-Cai Mep port in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province.
