Singaporean media reveals nine most scenic places to visit in Vietnam

Located just a three-hour drive from the capital of Hanoi, Ha Long Bay is a UNESCO World Heritage site that is renowned for its stunning limestone karsts and emerald waters.

Yahoo! Life suggests that visitors can take a cruise to admire the breathtaking scenery and explore caves and floating fishing villages.

Sapa

According to the Singaporean media outlet, Sa Pa in the northern mountainous province of Lao Cai is a quaint little town that is famous for its terraced rice fields, ethnic people inhabited villages, as well as Fansipan, the highest peak in Indochina.

Tourists can also explore a series of popular destinations around the town, including Ham Rong Mountain, Muong Hoa valley, Seo My Ty lake, O Quy Ho pass, Silver waterfall, and Love waterfall, as well as gaining greater insights into the local life and the unique cuisine on offer in traditional villages in the area.

Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park

Home to some of the world’s largest natural caves, including Son Doong, Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park is a UNESCO-listed site situated in the North Central Coast region of Vietnam.

“It boasts impressive karst landscapes, underground rivers, and diverse flora and fauna,” Yahoo! Life noted.

Hue City

The former imperial capital, Hue City in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue is known for its ancient citadel, historic temples, and the Perfume River.

The city reflects Vietnam’s imperial past and offers a glimpse into its rich history.

Hoi An Ancient Town

According to Yahoo! Life, Hoi An is a charming ancient town that boasts well-preserved architecture. It is famous for its lantern-lit streets, traditional wooden houses, and vibrant markets.

It recommended that tourists set out to discover the place at night and enjoy Hoi An night market where they can find souvenirs and handicraft products.

Ninh Binh province

Dubbed “Ha long Bay on land”, the northern province of Ninh Binh is located in the Red River Delta region of the northern part of Vietnam.

It is known for its karst landscapes, rice paddies, and the Trang An Landscape Complex, another UNESCO World Heritage site.

Mui Ne

Mui Ne is a coastal fishing town located about a three-hour drive from Ho Chi Minh City.

According to Yahoo! Life, the red and white sand dunes of Mui Ne offer a unique and surreal landscape for visitors.

“Visitors can try sand sliding and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding area. Mui Ne is also known for its vibrant fishing village, where the colourful boats and the bustling activity make for a picturesque setting,” it revealed.

Da Nang

Da Nang is a coastal city in central Vietnam that is famous for its beautiful beaches such as My Khe and Non Nuoc.

The website noted that the central city is home to the Marble Mountains, a cluster of five marble and limestone hills named after the five elements of metal, water, wood, fire, and earth.

The mountains offer both natural beauty whilst being of cultural significance as they are topped with pagodas and Buddhist shrines.

“The inland Ba Na Hills has also seen increased popularity in recent years,” it added.

Con Dao Islands

Con Dao is a group of pristine islands that are off the southern coast of Ho Chi Minh City with white sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters, and coral reefs.

Yahoo! Life said that it also has a historical significance as it was once used as a prison during the French colonial era and the Vietnam War.

It suggested that visitors can head down to Con Dao by 45-minute plane from Ho Chi Minh City. Alternatively, guests can go by ferry or high-speed boat from Soc Trang, Vung Tau, or Can Tho, which can take more than two hours.
