The analysis specifically assessed the average cost of accommodation combined with a six-day ski pass per person to provide insights for travelers.
Switzerland emerged as the overall priciest destination for skiers. On average, a package including accommodation and a six-day ski pass per person in Switzerland costs approximately 135 Swiss Francs, equivalent to about 138 Euros. Zermatt, located in Switzerland, was identified as the most expensive ski region in Europe, with an average daily expenditure of 118 Euros per person. Following closely were Saas-Fee at 109 Euros and Verbier at 107 Euros per person per day. Notably, eight of the top 10 most expensive ski resorts in the Alps are situated in Switzerland. The remaining two highly-priced destinations included France’s Courchevel, costing 93 Euros, and Austria’s Kitzbühel, at 91 Euros per person per day.
In contrast, the Czech Republic was found to offer the most economical skiing experiences, with an average daily cost of 35 Euros per person. Poland presented a slightly higher average at 38 Euros, while Germany averaged 43 Euros per person per day. The evaluation pinpointed Hinterstoder in Austria as the cheapest individual ski resort, with costs averaging 26 Euros per person per day. Other budget-friendly options included Szczyrk in Poland at 27 Euros and Winterberg in Germany at 28 Euros per person per day.
