MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – Montgomery’s Hyundai plant is celebrating its 20th anniversary. HMMA has seen lots of growth over the last two decades and it attributes that growth to the variety of cars it offers and the company’s culture.
Each year, between 30 and 60 team members are chosen to be part of the HMMA Korea Culture Trip Program. The goal is for team members to gain more understanding of Hyundai Motor Group and Korea.
“It was definitely an eye opening experience,” said Abby Wolfe, HMMA team member.
Abby Wolfe is part of team relations at HMMA. That department is tasked with coordinating the trip to Seoul, South Korea.
“When you go to Korea, Hyundai is everywhere. It’s banking, it’s steel, it’s automotive, it’s all over the place. Like you can’t walk probably 100 feet without seeing something with Hyundai on it,” said Wolfe.
This immersive experience allows those who work in Montgomery to see the global impact of Hyundai.
