Emerald Airlines, the new Aer Lingus Regional operator, has confirmed it will be relaunching services from Belfast City Airport later this month. The inaugural flight to Birmingham will be taking off on 24 March.
Further routes are commencing in the following weeks, with Edinburgh, Leeds, and Manchester starting 27 March, and Glasgow and Exeter beginning on 8 May.
It is the airline’s first UK exclusive service, with the plucky startup having commenced Irish operations last month. CEO Connor McCarthy is already hoping for further expansion, having said:
“We want to be the airline of choice for customers travelling to and from Belfast City Airport, and with today’s announcement we are well positioned to deliver on that objective. We’re keen to build upon our announcement today, with more flights, destinations, and great fares to follow in the very near future.”
