SORAVIA, has handed over the newly revitalized NUMA Mona hotel to the NUMA Group in Munich’s city center.
This project is part of SORAVIA’s involvement in the hospitality sector, where it operates 97 hotels and has 51 more under development, amounting to a project volume of €650 million.
Located at Landwehrstrasse 56, 80336 Munich, the NUMA Mona features 47 serviced flat units spread across 2,441 square meters of gross floor area. Situated 200 meters from the Theresienwiese, and a 10-minute walk from Munich’s main railway station, the hotel is ideally positioned for both business and leisure travelers. Key attractions are within a 20-minute walking distance.
The transformation of the former three-star hotel into the NUMA Mona included comprehensive renovation measures. These included the refurbishment of the building envelope, upgrading of the building services and wiring, and a core refurbishment of the rooms. The building’s energy efficiency was significantly improved to meet KfW Standard 55, aligning with NUMA’s commitment to sustainability and modern comfort.
“With NUMA Mona, our portfolio in Munich is growing by another property that fits perfectly into our urban concept. In SORAVIA, we have found a reliable partner for the revitalisation of existing properties, who is also an important investor for the further expansion of NUMA. The next properties in this successful collaboration will soon go into operation,” – Dimitri Chandogin, Managing Director and co-founder of the NUMA Group.
The NUMA Mona is set to commence operations in July 2024, adhering to NUMA’s standardized operational protocols. This project marks the beginning of SORAVIA’s broader plan to refurbish three former hotels in Munich for the NUMA Group. Construction on the next project, located directly opposite at Landwehrstrasse 65, will start in May. Additionally, a refurbishment at Schwanenthalerstrasse 63 is slated to begin once planning permission is secured.
This collaboration between SORAVIA and NUMA Group underscores a significant move towards modernizing and enhancing hospitality offerings in Munich, providing digitally optimized, energy-efficient accommodation in prime locations.
” With its investment in the NUMA Group, SORAVIA is focusing on a unique hospitality concept that combines the best features of classic hotels with the flexibility of short-term lettings. With the revitalisation series in Munich, we are deepening our partnership with NUMA, one of the most promising start-ups in Europe. Our distinctive expertise in project development and hospitality leads to synergies that benefit both companies,” – Erwin Soravia, CEO of SORAVIA.
