Young people today are facing financial insecurity due to inadequate salaries and rising costs of living, according to a study by Deloitte Global. Almost half of both Gen Zs and Millennials reported feeling financially insecure, with the high cost of living as their biggest issue. They also feel concerned about growing wealth inequality and believe the disparity between the richest and poorest people in their country is expanding. Despite this, young workers are becoming more resourceful by restructuring their work routines to expand their income, and more are taking on second jobs. Employers and mentors need to provide support and reassurance to help them succeed in life.
