OpenAI and Microsoft recently announced the release of multi-modal GPT-4, which has caused a stir in the tech industry, including the travel sector. ChatGPT, released four months ago, has been rapidly adopted by travel and hospitality players to create new tools for engaging with clients, consumers, and travelers. MyRealTrip, an online travel platform in South Korea, has developed an AI Trip Planner using ChatGPT’s language processing abilities to create personalized travel plans for the user. The AI planner can recommend destinations, accommodations, and activities based on the user’s preferences, budget, and travel history. The AI planner can also suggest alternative options if the user’s preferred choices are unavailable. The platform aims to simplify the travel planning process and provide personalized recommendations to users. The tool uses natural language processing, machine learning, and recommendation algorithms to provide recommendations to users. It currently offers services in Korean and English, with plans to expand to other languages in the future.
