Bharti Airtel announced on February 24 that it has made a strategic investment in Aqilliz, a blockchain technology startup. Aqilliz, based in Singapore, has created Atom, a patented hybrid blockchain platform that combines differential privacy with federated learning on a distributed digital ledger, according to Airtel. This allows marketers to establish secure and consent-based solutions to engage with customers in a rapidly increasing digital economy that is becoming more decentralised, according to the report.
