Most of us who are heading to Parklife festival this weekend will be thinking about outfits, the line-up and the weather.
But working out how you’ll get home safely after the music stops is something to think about too – as the saying goes, fail to prepare, prepare to fail.
And by fail we mean getting lost on the way out or not quite arranging that lift home and being stuck on the outskirts of Heaton Park.
Manchester’s massive music event will take place on Saturday, September 11 and Sunday, September 12, with headline performances from Dave, Skepta, Disclosure and Megan Thee Stallion.

Some other big names on the bill include Manchester rapper Meekz, Young Thug, and Migos to keep around 80,000 festival-goers per day dancing until 11pm.
Here are some of the best ways you can get home from a fun weekend at Parklife.
The Parklife Shuttle
The shuttle bus service provided by Parklife is available to those who have planned in advance and bought a Parklife Travel Pass, which gives ticket-holders access to both the shuttle bus and Metrolink tram services.
The bus provides a regular service between the city centre and festival site between 9.30am and 5 pm on Saturday, and 10.30am and 5pm on Sunday.
It begins in the City Centre from Aytoun Street (M1 2DD – corner of Minshull St. near Piccadilly train station) and drops off right inside the festival site.
The return service from Heaton Park to the City Centre starts at 6.30 pm and runs until late.
E-tickets for the Parklife Travel Pass will need to be exchanged for a wristband before travel, at either Aytoun Street or an exchange point in front of the National Football Museum at Cathedral Gardens.
