The government of Canada has published further information about its Covid-19 vaccination requirement for all air, rail and marine travellers, as well as employees in the sector, beginning at the end of October.
It had already said on 13 August that it would present such a vaccine requirement, but did not give details at the time.
“As of October 30, the government of Canada will require employers in the federally regulated air, rail, and marine transportation sectors to establish vaccination policies for their employees,” the government writes on its website on 6 October. “Also effective October 30, travellers departing from Canadian airports, and travellers on VIA Rail and Rocky Mountaineer trains, will be required to be fully vaccinated in order to travel.”
The order allows for few loopholes and even those will be closed a month later.
