In a wide-ranging update following Tuesday’s final qualifying games, which saw Wales narrowly miss out on a place, the FCDO has added a full tournament guide to its travel advice for Germany.
Euro 2024 will kick off on Friday 14 June and wrap up with the final in Berlin on Sunday 14 July. England and Scotland are among the 32 participants.
Besides the basics like personal safety, entry requirements, passport validity and insurance, the guide touches on the situation with match tickets, stadium entry rules and restrictions, local transport, travelling in Germany, tournament fan villages – and alcohol.
“Beer can be stronger than in the UK, so drink responsibly, know your limits and respect local laws,” reads the updated advice. “You may not be let into the stadium if you drink too much.”
