The influx of tourists at five prominent sites in Maharashtra’s Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar has witnessed a remarkable surge, exceeding 50 lakh visitors between March 1 and November 30, 2023. During the same period last year, around 22 lakh tourist footfalls were recorded. The surge in tourist arrivals has been attributed to the popularity of these Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) protected sites.
