Announced at Travel Counsellors’ conference last month, the partnership with the Travel Foundation comes as homeworkers and their clients are increasingly becoming more concerned about the environmental impact of travelling.
According to data recently published by Travel Counsellors, 56% of people believe travel companies should offer more sustainable options while 41% of respondents say they are willing to spend more on a sustainable holiday.
The Travel Foundation’s head of strategic partnerships Graeme Jackson said: “The climate emergency is the biggest challenge facing society and it is rewriting the rules of tourism at a global level.
“Forward-thinking travel businesses have a real opportunity to shape the future and impact of tourism.”
