NEW DELHI: With massive delays in visa processing by Schengen states, US and some other countries disrupting Indian globetrotters’ plans and causing huge losses to them, the travel industry has sought the government’s intervention in the issue.
It has also sought lifting the requirement to pre-fill air suvidha form for everyone coming to India while making other safeguards like health and comprehensive travel Insurance mandatory for an Indian visa, apart from restoring e-visas for UK and Canada.
The Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI), an umbrella organisation representing over 2,500 travel firms, has red-flagged these issued with the ministry of external affairs (MEA).
