On February 1, Boris Johnson suggested that more information on the possibility of summer holidays will be announced on February 22.
According to the Times, ministers are reviewing the timeline and considering allowing members of the same household to go on holiday together during the Easter holidays.
A Government source told the paper: “There’s an active discussion about how soon we can do it and we’ll be guided by the data.
“There’s talk of April at the earliest, but a lot of things have to go right.”
However, the Prime Minister said he is “optimistic” that people will be able to have summer holidays, which suggests it is far too early to consider booking a holiday in April.
