World Trade Organization (WTO) announced in a press release today that Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, a former finance minister of Nigeria, was appointed as the next director-general of the global trade body.
The decision was made at a special meeting of the WTO’s General Council at which the World Bank veteran was formally selected.
