Brazil develops cocoa and chocolate-based tourism destinations

Brazil continues to expand cocoa production and turn it into an important part of the tourism industry. In 2023, the country will produce 805,000 tonnes of cocoa, an increase of 6 per cent compared to 2022. This is reported by the official website of the Brazilian Government.

Leading regions such as Para, Bahia, Espirito Santo and Rio Grande do Sul are actively developing tourism routes dedicated to cacao cultivation and chocolate production, boosting the economy and popularising gastronomic tourism.
