Starting today, April 10, 2025, travelers from Australia, Canada and the United States will be subject to visa requirements when planning to enter Brazil.
The decision, according to Brazil’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, came on the principle of reciprocity and ends a six-year visa-free entry for these countries, VisaGuide.World reports.
Announcing the new changes, the Foreign Ministry said that Brazil does not offer unilateral visa exemptions, stressing that negotiations are underway in order to establish reciprocal visa-free agreements.
We’re still in talks to have the United States lift its visa requirement for Brazilians, which would allow us to reciprocate.
