Lady Gaga’s massive concert on Rio’s Copacabana Beach confirmed

It’s official. Singer Lady Gaga will be the main attraction at a free massive concert on Copacabana Beach on May 3 this year. Big names in world music will be performing on Rio’s waterfront in free concerts every May until 2028.

The project Todo Mundo no Rio (“Everyone in Rio”) was unveiled on Friday (Feb. 21) by the production company Bônus Track, responsible for organizing Madonna’s concert, which attracted 2.5 million people last year.

Company CEO Luiz Oscar Niemeyer pointed out that events of this magnitude bring a number of benefits to the city, “from an economic point of view, as well as tourism and the city’s image, showcasing the good things Rio de Janeiro has to offer.”
