With a 6,5% increase, Paraná was the state that had the greatest growth in Brazil in tourism activities in February 2025, according to data from the Monthly Services Survey (PMS), released this Thursday, 10, by Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE).
The growth refers to the volume of activities in February compared to January. The Paraná index is more than double the Brazilian average for the period, which was 2,9%, and what was recorded by other states that are traditional tourist destinations, such as Rio de Janeiro (3,1%), Minas Gerais (1,7%), Pernambuco (1,3%), São Paulo (-0,9%), Santa Catarina (-1,1%) and Bahia (-3,2%).
