The on-time performance (OTP) of an airline is measured by the punctuality of its flights against the schedule mentioned beforehand. A flight is considered on-time when it arrives within 15 minutes of the scheduled arrival time or departs within 15 minutes of the scheduled departure time.
An airline’s OTP is widely used as a powerful key indicator for airlines and airports and is also a potential service differentiator for marketing the brand to air travellers.
