KUALA LUMPUR: AirAsia Malaysia welcomed its inaugural flight from Jaipur to Kuala Lumpur, boasting a full passenger load.
Flight AK18 departed from Jaipur International Airport at 11.40 p.m. and landed at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (Terminal 2) at 7.05 a.m. local time on April 22.
This new route holds special significance for AirAsia Malaysia, as it marks the airline’s debut in the enchanting Pink City, famed for its ancient forts dating back to the 16th century and Taj Mahal.
Bo Lingam, the group chief executive officer of AirAsia Aviation Group, said the airline is thrilled at the commencement of this milestone service.
“We are honoured to be the only airline in Malaysia to offer this direct connectivity,” he said in a statement.
Since initiating flights between India and Malaysia in 2008, AirAsia has strived to facilitate seamless and affordable travel between the two countries, having served millions of passengers over the past 15 years.
