Vietjet Champions Gender Equality at Women in Aviation Gala

Vietjet highlighted its commitment to gender equality and women’s empowerment within the aviation industry at the Women in Aviation Gala, held in Singapore on October 10, 2025. The Vietnamese airline supported and participated in the event, which was also organized by Women in Aviation International (WAI) and received support from the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

The gala served as a platform to celebrate the achievements of women in aviation and to foster networking opportunities among industry leaders. It was attended by over 300 delegates, including leaders, managers, and experts from the global aviation sector. Discussions focused on the importance of increasing female representation in all areas of aviation.

Vietjet showcased its initiatives aimed at promoting gender diversity. The airline stated that 30 per cent of its employees are female pilots and technicians, a figure that is higher than the global average. This emphasis aligns with the goals of IATA’s 25 by 2025 initiative, which encourages airlines to boost female representation in senior positions and under-represented jobs.

The airline’s efforts in diversity and inclusion have been recognized, including the 2023 IATA Diversity & Inclusion Awards. Vietjet also plans to continue advocating for women’s contributions by participating in the upcoming 2025 APEC Women and the Economy Forum.
