Virgin Atlantic has resumed flights from the UK to Canada after a gap of more than 10 years.
The UK-based carrier’s first service between London Heathrow and Toronto operated on Thursday (3 April). Virgin previously flew to Toronto in 2001 and also served Vancouver between 2012 and 2014.
Virgin’s new daily service to Toronto uses Boeing 787-9 aircraft fitted with 31 Upper Class seats, 35 seats in premium economy and 192 seats in economy. The airline has also agreed an expanded codeshare deal with Canadian carrier WestJet.
