Airbnb is actively recruiting new hosts ahead of the Coronation weekend, advising there is money to be made over the three-day public holiday period. The company claims the typical Airbnb host earned more than £500 during the three-day weekend of the Queen’s Jubilee in 2022 and Coronation hosts should be able to match that. Newcomers will also be entitled to a £100 travel coupon. However, recent complaints have arisen about unruly party houses being rented on Airbnb causing local disturbances, with local residents reporting beer cans thrown into their gardens and all-night parties with loud music happening most weekends. Airbnb advises guests should be made aware of house rules to prevent any issues, while Airbnb’s policies ensure anti-social behaviour gets zero tolerance.
