Landlord Marc Godart has been accused of evicting tenants before the Residential Tenancies Board (RTB) could rule on their case, following a dispute over using the property as an Airbnb. The five tenants, who had been in long-term residence in the north Dublin home, were awarded €12,000 each by the RTB in January of this year. The case was heard in December 2016. The landlord, who owns Green Label Properties, has appealed the decision. The company is also at the centre of enforcement proceedings aimed at halting the unauthorised short-term letting of a second property in Dublin. Godart has also been accused of taking laundry and washing machines, saying gas and electricity off prior to the eviction, and confined tenants belongings to the kitchen of the property whilst they were being removed.
